It's a nice enough track. Feel good and fun, but I have to be honest, I am getting pretty bored of the predictability of all these deep house tracks. All just a rehash of older songs with a deep house beat. As enjoyable as they are, it's getting tedious.

It sure is easy to make a tropical house hit. Sample/cover a well known hit from years ago, get a subpar singer to sing the lyrics and slap it over a beat. That's a cynical way to look at things, because not all of them follow this formula. But at this point in 2016 I can say that many unfortunately do. It perhaps helps that this came before many others, but I have always enjoyed it. The moment I heard it I adored how fun it was, it really is simple but it gives me joy and stays in my head for days so it's a success on that part. I'm very happy it was a chart hit actually. That video is pretty adorable too :) |

Agree with Zacco. The tropical house fad was kinda lame given the year or so before we had hard stomping big room and edm as the dominant dance scene. So this 180 is kinda tame and grew repetitive as. |
